Lets begin....
I realize this is a bit late but I plan to tell you all about our lovely trip so we can re-live it and you can plan your own! We flew standby to Brussels because the flights looked the best. It was a nice way to break up the trip and see another great city! We for sure would like to make it back there, since all the time we had was a few hours after we work up from our 7 hour nap.
We took a bus to downtown to do a bit of exploring and some eating. We made our way to the Grand Place, there were so many little walk ways with so many little restaurants trying to convince you they are the place you should eat. I never knew how popular mussels where there. Every place had a special on them! I decided we must try it if it was their thing! And they were delicious along side a wonderful Belgium beer.
Such a great way to start our trip, such lovely buildings, with such character and grandness. Just a preview of what is to come.
Oh and how could we go to Belgium and not have chocolate? Don't worry we didn't!! And they did not disappoint.
It is crazy sometimes to think that this trip started as a little idea and it has turned out to really happen. It has proven to us that you really can do anything you want. The only thing stopping you is you!
Next we arrive in the magical city of Venice.
